Evolution of the eye

 The Eye

DNA is coded at the macro-level to build eyes, yes but at the micro-level DNA is used to form cells.

You’re taking the human eye and removing the lens, which for a human would be detrimental. However, what science proposes is that our eyes started as light sensitive cells, which developed focus, by naturally selecting for depressions at the sight of the cell. These changes were advantageous to the world our ancestors were living in at that time So when you talk about a human with no lenses, that’s not what scientists are suggesting. Our eyes evolved very early on. Fish have eyes and if evolution is correct we should see different complexities of eyes in marine creatures and we do.

The first is a pigment spot of light sensitive cells, which sea urchins and sea worms use.

The second are pigment cups of light sensitive cells which help to determine which direction the light is coming from.

The third is a mollusk eye with a deeper cup to more accurately determine the direction of light.

The fourth is an eye with a primitive lens which we find in jellyfish and primitive jawless fish.

Complex eyes arose very early on probably because the ability to understand your surroundings would be so imperative to survival.

Now if these eyes didn’t exist and exist in gradual correspondence to the complexity of that life-form, I might feel differently about the likelihood for the eye to have naturally evolved.

So science does have an explanation. You may not be convinced but that doesn’t mean they have their reasons.
